Goa Carnival Tour Package

Tour Overview:

Each year in the month of February, Goa hosts India’s largest carnival that attracts travelers from different parts of the world. One of the most spectacular carnivals across Asia, this carnival was a once a rural-based festival during the Portuguese rule in Goa. Over the years it has witnessed rapid growth and has now become the state’s most famous festival. The carnival usually begins on ‘Fat Saturday’ called Sabado Gordo and ends on ‘Fat Tuesday’ called Shrove Tuesday preceding ‘Ash Wednesday’ that marks the beginning of the religious Lent period. The spirit of the carnival echoes in the words of King Momo who is considered the king of carnivals in Latin American festivities. “Eat, drink and make merry” is exactly what Goans, as well as travelers, do during this fascinating festival. Along with the sights and sounds of the festival also visit some of the most popular beaches and landmarks of North Goa with this special tour.
