Home to the one-horned Indian rhinoceroses and the Bengal tigers, Kaziranga National Park is one of the county’s most fascinating national parks. These two animals along with the Asian elephant, swamp deer, and wild water buffalo are collectively known as the ‘Big Five’ of this sanctuary which is a designated World Heritage Site. Situated in the state of Assam, Kaziranga was selected as a Tiger Reserve in the year 2006. The national park has an impressive range of flora and fauna that continue attracting wildlife lovers from all over the world. Explore this vast expanse of wilderness along with Guwahati and Shillong. The largest city of Assam, Guwahati has some ancient and highly revered temples along with the sacred Brahmaputra River while Shillong is a charming hill station with waterfalls and lakes. This state capital is also a gateway to one of the wettest places on earth, Cherrapunji.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Guwahati Arrival
The tour begins with your arrival at Guwahati. Our representative will welcome you at the airport and escort you to a hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 – Guwahati Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit four sacred temples – Kamakhya, Umananda, Bhuvaneswari, and ISKCON. Later, visit the Assam State Museum, Guwahati Planetarium, and Regional Science Centre. In the evening enjoy a cruise ride on the Brahmaputra River and savor the scenic surroundings before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3 – Guwahati to Kaziranga National Park
After breakfast leave for Kaziranga National Park by road and after reaching check into a hotel. Spend the rest of your day at leisure before an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 – Kaziranga National Park
Take an early morning elephant safari in the central range of this vast national park. Witness the rhinos, tigers, wild boars, wild water buffalos, barasingha deer, golden langurs, hog deer, and birds like rose-ringed parakeets and Pallas’s fish eagles. The wilderness is also home to several species of vultures, mammals, large cats, and snakes. After returning to the hotel for lunch and relaxation, take a jeep safari in the evening to explore the western range of the national park. After this exhilarating day return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5 – Kaziranga National Park to Shillong
After breakfast, leave for Shillong which is often called the often called the ‘Scotland of East’ and upon reaching check into a hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6 – Shillong Sightseeing
After breakfast explore this beautiful hill station and savor the pleasant weather. View majestic waterfalls like Elephant Falls and Crinoline Falls along with pristine lakes like Umiam Lake and Wards Lake. Visit the Shillong Peak, Laitlum Canyon, and the Shillong Golf Course which is one of the few natural golf courses in Asia. Hydari Park, Motphran, and State Museum are other places worth visiting. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 7 – Shillong – Cherrapunji – Shillong
After breakfast enjoy a scenic two-hour drive to Cherrapunji. After reaching take a walk on the naturally built Double Decker Living Root Bridge, view the amazing Seven Sister Waterfalls, Nohkalikai Falls, and explore the stunning Mawsmai Caves before returning to Shillong for an overnight stay.
Day 8 – Shillong to Guwahati
After breakfast leave for Guwahati and after reaching check into a hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or explore locals markets before an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9 – Guwahati to Onward Destination
After breakfast, our representative will escort you to the Guwahati airport for your onward journey. Reflect on the memories of this mesmerizing Kaziranga tour before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
