Day 1 – Delhi Day Tour

Start your tour with a visit to the iconic Red Fort which is also known as Lal Quila due to its red sandstone walls. Red Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was the main residence of Mughal emperors for almost 200 years. Witness its intricate structures, gardens, and artwork that are a unique combination of Persian, Indian, and European forms.
Later visit Jama Masjid which is located opposite Red Fort. One of the largest mosques in the country, it is a grand structure that comprises three gates, four towers, and two high minarets. Have lunch at Chandni Chowk and also enjoy a rickshaw ride here which will take you to the famous minaret, Qutub Minar. One of the oldest and busiest markets of Old Delhi, the market was designed by Shah Jahan’s daughter Jahanara. The market is known for its variety of food, sweets, and shopping options.
After lunch visit Raj Ghat which is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and the marvelous President’s House. If time permits you can also visit other attractions like the Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, and the National Gallery of Modern Art.
