Day 1 – Mumbai Day Tour

After spending a couple of hours on the island, return to the city and visit the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya which was formerly known as Prince of Wales Museum of Western India. Post lunch drive past the British Heritage district and admire the old world charm of the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Rajabai Clock Towers, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, and Bombay High Court. Later visit Dhobi Ghat which is an extremely popular and a unique an open-air laundry. Also visit The ISCKON temple, Haji Ali Dargah, and Mani Bhavan that was once the residence of Mahatma Gandhi.
For shopping enthusiasts, there are great deals on offer at the Crawford Market. In the evening spend some peaceful time at the iconic Hanging Gardens. When in Mumbai eating the Vada Pav, the Indian burger, is a must. The Chowpatty beach is a great place to wrap up your day. Take a walk on this beach and admire the vast expanse of the sea before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
